Just wondering, because I am going to do that today, and that is how I am hoping it will turn out =]

How long since you dyed it black the first time? Id be careful dyeing too soon after, could overload your hair and fry it. Id try semi-permants, or wash-in wash out in various shades of blue to see what works colourwise, but most "blue-black" or dark blue shades never actually have any blue sheen unless in the right direct light. And that fades pretty quick as it is.

i think it does, my mom had a dark violet color in her hair years ago it looked black up close but when the light hit it it had a purple/violet shine...it was very pretty...good luck
